Dr. Vu Kong, DDS
Dr. Vu Kong first received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Engineering’s technical aspects appealed to him and he applies them to his dental practice. He is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and is a third generation dentist, as his father and grandfather were both dentists. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Kong has high moral and ethical values and only recommends treatment that is necessary to the health of his patient. Each patient is treated like family and he especially enjoys working with Invisalign® and Six Month Smiles® cases because of the instant rewards it brings to the patient. Dr. Kong has completed numerous continuing education courses and strives to further his skills and expand his knowledge by attending multiple courses around the country.
Dr. Kong has a beautiful wife and two daughters that he can’t keep up with. He takes pleasure in traveling, staying active, and spending time with his family. He has a wonderful sense of humor, and he is fluent in Cantonese (Chinese).
Dr. Molly Ericson, DMD
Dr. Molly Ericson attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She went on to pursue her dental education at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. While she loved the warm winters and scenic views, she could not wait to return to her roots in the Chicago area. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she enjoyed getting to work with a wide variety of patients. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and the American Academy of General Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Ericson enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and dog.
Dr. Ericson is passionate about whole person health care and sees each patient as more than just their teeth. She believes that understanding each patients’ goals and educating them about their oral health and treatment options is key to coming up with the ideal treatment plan together. Her priority is for patients to always feel comfortable working with her, even if the dental office is not their favorite place to be.
Dr. Jason Schrotenboer, DDS
Dr. Jason Schrotenboer is an oral & maxillofacial surgeon who hails from the beautiful coast of West Michigan, now making Chicago his home. He began his training by obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology at Michigan State University. He then obtained his dental degree from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. Inspired by his own experiences as an oral surgery patient, he pursued specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan. During this 6-year residency, he earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan, School of Medicine, gained extensive training in Anesthesiology and completed a 2-year internship in General Surgery. In addition, Dr. Schrotenboer obtained a Certificate in Microvascular Surgery that provides him with expertise in the repair of nerves and blood vessels.
While at the University of Michigan, Dr. Schrotenboer encountered a broad spectrum of patient cases that have given him the knowledge, skill, and judgment to treat many conditions of the mouth, jaw, face, and neck. In addition to this comprehensive training, Dr. Schrotenboer has had the perspective of being a patient of the specialty, himself. This provides him with a unique insight into the needs and desires of the oral surgery patient. His calm and confident demeanor paired with his dental, medical and surgical background make Dr. Schrotenboer the leading choice for patients seeking specialty care for oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental implant and wisdom tooth surgery.
